Exploring New Paths for Poly-Universe with teachers from Uruguay

In our current Erasmus+ KA2 project, Poly-Universe in Preschool and Lower Primary School Education (EARLY-POLY), our team has been exploring new pathways for the Poly-Universe toolkit. A central goal of this phase has been to discover how to make the toolkit more inclusive and how to adapt its activities for children with different learning needs. This work is also about finding new, creative ways to use Poly-Universe in education and developing new technical approaches, including ideas for digital extensions and modified physical formats.

Recently, we held a dissemination event with a group of teachers from Uruguay where we applied a new physical format of the Poly-Universe toolkit. This new format consists of a paper book instead of the plastic pieces of the original toolkit. The paper version is more compact, its shapes are smaller, and with a holding bag included, it is more convenient for travel purposes. The teachers had the chance to compare the new physical version with the original colorful plastic version and to test whether all exercises are applicable with the new version.

In the end, there was a discussion about the possibility of a digital version of this toolkit. Many of the teachers said they would find it useful for their classes. This feedback is essential as we continue to refine the toolkit and plan for its future development.
