Education works best when it combines theoretical knowledge with hands-on activity, and when it connects learners directly with the people and environments where that knowledge comes to life. In late March 2026, Experience Workshop organised an educational tour in Jyväskylä for a group of 20 students and 3 teachers and a principal NAME from Shatin Pui Ying High School in Hong Kong.
On the 17th of February, 2026, Experience Workshop organised and hosted an in-person meeting, bringing together key representatives Counsellor Al Fadil bin Adam and Ms. Satu Spratley from the Malaysian Embassy in Finland, the University of Jyväskylä (JYU), and its own educational network. This event was designed to discuss and explore pathways for cooperation in research, education, and student exchange between Finland and Malaysia.
Twenty students from the “Johanna Just” school of Potsdam (Germany) spent 11 days in Jyväskylä in the framework of their Erasmus+ occupational field study.
In the last week of January 2026, Experience Workshop had the pleasure of organising a STEAM workshop titled “From molecules to space bases – structures in nature and technology.” This workshop was led by Dr Kristof Fenyvesi and Jukka Lehtoranta from Experience Workshop as a key collaborative exercise during an Erasmus+ student exchange.
Continuing our active research phase in Jyväskylä, in February 2026 Experience Workshop visited Vastatuulen daycare to conduct another pilot session for the Erasmus+ KA2 project, EARLY-POLY. This project explores the use of the innovative Poly-Universe toolkit in preschool education, aiming to create a comprehensive guide for teachers working with children aged 3-10.
In the middle of February 2026, Experience Workshop visited the local English-speaking daycare, The Fox Nest. The visit was a key milestone in our ongoing Erasmus+ KA2 project, EARLY-POLY. This project explores the use of the innovative Poly-Universe toolkit in preschool education, aiming to create a comprehensive guide for teachers working with children aged 3-10.
The Methodological Study book for the ERASMUS+ EARLYPOLY project is now published free-to-use. This comprehensive resource is now available in both English and Hungarian. Experience Workshop is proud to have contributed as a project partner, with our STEAM director, Dr Kristóf Fenyvesi, shaping the STEAM methodological foundation of this work.
