On May 19th and 20th, 2026, Experience Workshop organised two day multiplier event for the Poly-Universe in Preschool and Lower Primary School Education (EARLY-POLY) project in Jyväskylä, Finland. Over thirty participants from various professional and national backgrounds attended the events to advance STEAM education for young learners.

The first day of the event was dedicated to an international networking gathering at Crazy Town Jyväskylä. This STEAM innovation and networking event began with a warm welcome from Nora Somlyody, the CEO of Experience Workshop. The attendees were then addressed by Klára Breuer, the Ambassador of Hungary to Finland, followed by Jukka Sinnemäki, speaking as the Honorary Consul of Hungary. The core presentation on the Poly-Universe educational toolkit was delivered by Kristóf Fenyvesi from the University of Jyväskylä, inventor János Saxon-Szász, and Miklós Hoffmann from the consortium leader university, who collectively explained the toolkit’s role in early mathematics and visual thinking. The program also featured short talks from Orsolya Tuba, CEO of Finn Minta, and Gábor István Kovács from the Hungarian University of Public Service. The atmosphere of the afternoon was intentionally informal and discussion oriented, providing space for the diverse group of participants to network and enjoy refreshments.

The second day of the event moved to the Musica M-building at the University of Jyväskylä for an interactive session. This workshop was designed specifically for international university students and educators, allowing them to engage directly with the Poly-Universe tool under the guidance of Dr. Kristóf Fenyvesi.

Through the EARLY-POLY project, partners are developing professional development workshops for educators, creating age-appropriate methodologies and lesson plans, and organizing STEAM experiences for all. A key outcome of the project is a comprehensive methodological study on Poly-Universe activities and a set of training materials for preschool and primary teachers. This work is designed to provide a valuable resource for educators and learners, strengthening STEAM education in preschools and primary schools.
