From May 5th to May 10th, 2024, three upper secondary school teachers from Austria and Germany participated in an Erasmus+ staff mobility training course in Jyväskylä, Finland. The program, organized by Experience Workshop and led by trainer Jukka Lehtoranta, focused on AI and Digital Competences in Everyday Teaching.
The topic “Waste and Recycling in day cares in Finland” is an important aspect of environmental education in Finnish educational institutions. In Finland, great importance is placed on sustainable and environmentally conscious upbringing. In day cares, children learn at an early age how to handle waste and why recycling is important.
Finnish as a Second Language (S2) in preschool refers to programs that help children whose mother tongue is not Finnish to learn the Finnish language at an early age.
