Insights from Humboldt Professor Florian Waldow’s Research with Experience Workshop
Education works best when it combines theoretical knowledge with hands-on activity, and when it connects learners directly with the people and environments where that knowledge comes to life. In late March 2026, Experience Workshop organised an educational tour in Jyväskylä for a group of 20 students and 3 teachers and a principal NAME from Shatin Pui Ying High School in Hong Kong.
On the 17th of February, 2026, Experience Workshop organised and hosted an in-person meeting, bringing together key representatives Counsellor Al Fadil bin Adam and Ms. Satu Spratley from the Malaysian Embassy in Finland, the University of Jyväskylä (JYU), and its own educational network. This event was designed to discuss and explore pathways for cooperation in research, education, and student exchange between Finland and Malaysia.
Twenty students from the “Johanna Just” school of Potsdam (Germany) spent 11 days in Jyväskylä in the framework of their Erasmus+ occupational field study.
In the last week of January 2026, Experience Workshop had the pleasure of organising a STEAM workshop titled “From molecules to space bases – structures in nature and technology.” This workshop was led by Dr Kristof Fenyvesi and Jukka Lehtoranta from Experience Workshop as a key collaborative exercise during an Erasmus+ student exchange.
