Experience Workshop proudly presents its’ first event in Finland, which takes place on June 14, 2015 in the magical island of Suomenlinna, Helsinki at the Lumiéres Festival.
In the historical atmosphere of the celebration of 18th century culture, the Lumiéres Festival, the Experience Workshop will be represented by the leader of the math-art movement Kristóf Fenyvesi and his friends, the mathematician Osmo Pekonen and the physicist Johan Stén.
In the exhibition space of István Orosz’s artworks, the visiting children can experiment with George Hart’s slide-together paper sculptures, the Experience Workshop’s GianTile set based on Paul Gailiunas’ design, and everybody can try Robert Fathauer’s tessellation puzzles, or play with László Lukovics’s Jomili, and Saxon’s Polyuniverse. And last, but not least in the spirit of the International Year of Light and Light-based Technologies children can study the Camera Obscura built on site by the team of the Helsinki Metropolia University of Applied Sciences.
