The successful Finnish art&science learning Checkpoint Leonardo project is now shifting gears and transforms into a network with the support of the STEM Centers (LUMA) connected to the major universities in Finland. University of Jyväskylä education researchers Anssi Lindell, Anna-Leena Kähkönen, Antti Lehtinen and Kristóf Fenyvesi are steering the project, which looks for ways of encouraging the integration of mathematics and science learning with art education in the context of multi- and transdisciplinary learning modules and phenomenon-based education.
