Experience Workshop trains special needs educators in Mathematics
The teacher training center for mathematics, SEAQIM held an international symposium and workshop entitled Redefining the Needs of Special Education Students for Mathematics in Southeast Asia. The events took place between 14-16 October 2021 in Yogyakarta. Kristof Fenyvesi from Experience Workshop was among the teacher trainers.
According to deputy director of the program at SEAQIM, dr Farida Nurhasanah, the project consisted of a survey, international symposiums and workshops based on the survey results. The survey looked at mathematics learning of students with special needs, and was carried between May-July 2021 in Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Japan and Indonesia.
Through this project, SEAQIM wants to develop and design effective teacher training for those educators who teach in special schools but whose degree is not in mathematics.
Also attending the event were representatives of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research of Indonesia.
SEAQiM teachers used 4d frame toolkits, and they’ve even shot an unboxing video. If you are also interested in 4d frame, click to go to our webshop.
